Recently I shot the wedding Zoe and Adrian at the gorgeous Heskin Hall. I’ve known Zoe for a long while having worked together at Aviva Motor Claims, and when she asked me about shooting her wedding I was so happy! I met up with her and her hubby to be, Adrian, at Castle In The Air, where we discussed what they were looking for and just generally caught up! Not long afterwards Zoe got in touch saying that she would like to book me for their wedding and also for a pre wedding shoot.
The pre wedding shoot took place near the gorgeous Rivington Barn, and we went for a walk where I got some gorgeous natural photographs.
When the day of the wedding came around I drove up to Zoe’s mums house for where I met the rest of her family and bridesmaids. As I shoot a natural, softer documentary style, I just them having a chat, and generally getting ready. Though her dad brought out the old baby photo’s so I had to get a shot of that (sorry Zoe!). I also made sure i captured the smaller details of the flowers and her mum’s house, filled with uplifting quotes, I loved the positivity!
I always leave the bride to get to the venue 30 minutes before the ceremony, to get my instructions from the registrar (thank you for being awesome ladies!) and to catch up with the groom. Heskin Hall looked awesome and when I found Adrian, it was clear he didn’t have the chance to be nervous as he was greeting guests from all corners of the globe. Zoe, then arrived and was walked down the aisle by her mum. It’s so nice to be able to shoot gorgeous brides, but even more so when they’re your friends!
What followed was a gorgeous ceremony, a beautiful mid summers day, some very funny speeches and an action packed evening. Zoe and Ade, thank you so much for letting me be your wedding photographer. Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Naylor!!
